Adios dear friend

Well, I had to send my computer off to the wonderful people at Gateway finally. I was watching something on my DVD player and it sputtered then went blank. I just had enought juice to open up the CD compartment and retrieve the DVD before if officially went ca-putt. I hope they can save my hard drive at least because I wasn't able to back up all my music files, which means I have a lot of work to do when I get my new one. They said in my confirmation letter that is should take about 3-4 business days or so to get it back, so it's not too bad. *sigh*

Since I am without my computer and the net for a while, I still find myself relying on work and school computers to get me through. Soon I'll have things up and running again, and a little less melted of course.

As far as Seattle goes, I figured out how much money I need to set aside, and I've resloved to finally selling my wedding dress (that has never been used, altered, worn, etc.) on Ebay, which if it sells for as much as I'm hoping for, will contribute to most of my funds for moving. Depending on how big of a space I have, I also have some people who are willing to buy some of my furniture and such if I need to. I'm thinking I'll just have a yard sale, and whatever I don't get rid of that way I'll just donate, cuz I really don't want to haul a whole bunch of crap with me. I just hope everything goes alright and I can get into school this next semester!

No boys on my mind since Casey. He called me the other day and asked me if I was still mad, I asked him if he hooked back up with his ex, and he informed me that he had, then I calmly asked, "then what the hell are you trying to smooth things over with me for?" to which he replied, "because I care about you and I want to remain friends". GAG! No thank you scumbag, you just want me as backburner girl and I'm waaaaay too cute for that! Oye...men! So now the only thing on my mind right now is getting the heck out of dodge!

That's about it, the weather's nice and I'm leaving...not much else to report. Cheers!

Well, this is as good as it gets!

Soooooooo much has happened, I failed you all by not getting online more and writing about it, so I'm going to have to give you clift's notes.

1) Broke up with Casey (he's a dork anyway)
2) My best friend came up from Portland for a surprise visit, gave me his much coveted drafting table (maybe a 2 semesters too late, but there's always next quarter)
3) Got fired from the restaurant (my manager is a total nerd and has a god complex)
4) Parents moved into their new house
5) Joined a local newspaper to become the next advice goddess, charmed the editor with my networking skills and now I'm also apart of the advertising team (yippie!)
6) Found out I'm moving to Seattle in 2 months, which means in order to save up enough money I can't eat until I leave. (mebbe a good thing)

I think that's kinda what's going on so far. I still don't have my computer running and I'm dependent on staying late after work to secretly use the computer there, and begging my friends to let me use theirs for a few moments to check my email and blog a bit...*sigh* I miss my melted gateway...I'm going to have to name it something, hopefully they'll keep my hard drive intact because it seems to work just fine, it just needs a new casing...if my CD thingy worked a little better, then I might think of keeping it because after all, with my fingers indented into the melted plastic, it gives it some...um..personality!

Summer is here, and I find myself trying to spend as much time out of doors. I've already mangaged to escape to the Tri Cities for Ren Fair, and then out to the lake a couple times already. I'm very proud of the fact that I have tan lines for the first time in a couple years, and I'll be darned if I ever let them fade. So, in my persute of summer time ventures I will continue to spend every waking moment that I can outside in nature...ahhh..it's about bloody time.

So, that's all I got right now. Hopefully I'll be able to write more often, I miss my daily ranting sessions with my blog. Cheers!

Uber-quick poste

So I'm at work downloading the latest version of an anti-virus thingy, how boring right?

Well folks, it looks like I'm going to make it into the "I can't believe they did that" hall of fame. I had a freak accident involving my laptop and currently I'm about to send it off to Gateway to get it...um...fixed, replaced, buried, what-not. I won't go into detail, let's just say that all the important people in my life, including the 6 lucky Gateway employee's that recieved my phone calls get the wonderful chance to know my story...(smirk).

I'm still here. Summer is here, I' m single, working, and going to Seattle in 2 months. When I have more time I'll update ya'll a little more.
