Weekend weird is
Yeah, talk about weird situations. Casey wanted to take me to a movie on thurs. night. So we settled on the third installment of the Star Wars prequal trilogy. He's already seen it, but according to him "I promise I won't forwarn you of the cool parts, but if my foot starts twitching, ignore me(big goofy grin)!" Ok*smirk* that was cute. Well, what he didn't tell me is that other people would be joining us. When we got there it was his cousin, her BF, his other cousin with his dad, and his ex. No, not the dad's, but Casey's! I was like "ok..this is a little awkward" to Casey's ear. He just said that she's his cousins (#1) best friend. Yeah, ok..riiiiiight. The whole time I swear she was boring holes into my head. Oye...drama *groan*
We bummed around the mall for a bit, then they all decided that they didn't want to see the movie *pout* and spent money at Hot Topic instead. While I was in there, it was fun to reminisce about my younger 'goth' years, but while looking at the multi-colored dread-locked girl at the counter with tons of piercings, who most likely was pushing 30, it reminded me as to why I grew out of that phase. Yeah it was fun to daydream about the cool bodice and lace outfits I saw there, but that was a looooooooong time ago. Even though the urge to buy glitter was strong, I emerged from the store unscathed. *sigh* Sooo long ago it seems.
I guess the goth force was strong, because when I woke up friday morning I heard on the radio that a local theater was doing midnight movies, and the movie? Rocky Horror Picture Show! Yippie, a chance to dress up all in black and not look like a nerd cuz everyone else will be too! Not to mention some will look ten times worse then you. I was just planning on wearing a black peasant skirt and a flowey black peasant top with Mardi Gras beads...no biggie actually. Unfortunately my plans were squelched when Casey called me up to tell me plans where cancelled due to his sis. going into labor. Yeah, I don't think I'll have many opportunities like that again, I don't think it's for me anymore, no matter how trivial and small the circumstances. Oh well.
So my weekend is shot. Some of the girls are having a "girls night" tonight, and I figure it's safe to go. One of the girls I work with, who is rather new, is uber-christian, but as she put it "I may be religious, but I'm not dead!" Right on sista! So she's my moral buddy, where basically we're going to be the non-drinking party. It's nice to know that I won't be the only sober on there, cuz I KNOW the other girls are gonna get sloshed (due to previous experience). So I'm going to look forward to a busy day, then a fun evening out with the girls. Then, homework, homework, homework! Cheerio
